Using a Fingerprint Lock
You can set up your device to unlock by using your fingerprint. When this lock type is set up you can place your the finger you used to set up the lock on the fingerprint sensor to unlock your device.
1.
From the Home screen, drag down the Notification panel.

Tap the Settings icon.
3.
Scroll to Lock screen and security.
4.
Tap Lock screen and security.
5.
Tap Screen lock type.
6.
Tap Fingerprints.
7.
Select a backup screen lock.
8.
Enter your backup screen lock.
9.
Tap CONTINUE.
10.
Confirm your backup screen lock.
11.
Tap CONFIRM.
12.
Follow the prompts to set up your fingerprint.
13.
You've completed the steps!
