Learn the arming modes for Connected Life

Actualizado esta semana

Your AT&T Connected Life system has three arming modes: Disarm, Arm Stay, and Arm Away.

  • Disarm turns off the intrusion protection devices like door, window, and interior motion sensors. It doesn't turn off others such as a flood/water sensor or CO2 sensors. You can move freely around your home without setting off alarms.

  • Arm Stay turns on the perimeter protection like door or windows sensors and turns off interior motion sensors. This is often used at night when you sleep.

  • Arm Away turns on all protection options including door, window, and motion sensors. This is designed for when you aren’t home.

Arm or disarm your system

You can set the arming mode in one of these ways:

  • AT&T Connected Life app: Set your arm mode from the app dashboard.

  • Keypad: Use the quick keys to set the arm mode.

  • Key fob: Use the designated buttons to set the arm mode.

  • Automations: Set your system to arm or disarm automatically based on a set of starters. For example, you can set up the system to turn on Arm Away mode when your smart device leaves a set location.

  • Third-party integrations: Link your Connected Life to a third-party like Google Assistant or Alexa to use voice control to arm or disarm your system.

Entry and exit delays

Delays give you time to arm the system before leaving or disarm after entering. You can manage delays in the AT&T Connected Life app.

  • Exit delay: Use this delay to turn on your system before leaving and have time to leave before it arms. The default setting is one minute, but you can change the time with the Connected Life app.

  • Entry delay: Use this delay to have time to disarm your system after entering the home. If the system isn’t disarmed before the entry delay ends, the alarm system will be set off and the siren will sound. The default setting is one minute, but you can change the time setting with the Connected Life app.
