If&nbsp;you&rsquo;re&nbsp;not an AT&amp;T Wireless customer,&nbsp;you&rsquo;ll&nbsp;need to&nbsp;<a href="/wireless/switch-and-save/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_self">switch to AT&amp;T</a>&nbsp;to&nbsp;start using Turbo.&nbsp;

AT&amp;T Turbo allows customers to optimize their plan&rsquo;s high-speed (premium) and hotspot data allotments by upgrading it to performance data, which helps the performance of their data connection, even during busy times on the network.  During peak network congestion, AT&amp;T Turbo performance benefits may not be noticeable.  AT&amp;T Turbo does not provide extra data and does not apply to messaging or voice.  If you exceed your existing&nbsp;allotments&nbsp;your normal network management applies.&nbsp;

On each eligible plan, after you exceed your hotspot allotment, your hotspot speeds are slowed to a maximum of 128Kbps.

The AT&amp;T Turbo add-on costs $7/month per line and is a service that you can add to any eligible AT&amp;T Wireless plan line with a 5G-capable smartphone.

The AT&amp;T Turbo icon is an alpha tag that is displayed in the top left corner of your device on the lock screen, indicating that your line is subscribed to AT&amp;T Turbo. It will also be visible on the draw down screen on your device. This is a new feature for AT&amp;T Turbo being rolled out in phases to customers, so the AT&amp;T Turbo Alpha Tag may not be visible yet.&nbsp; In some circumstances, the AT&amp;T Turbo icon will show even when AT&amp;T Turbo is inactive, such as when on Wi-Fi or when your high-speed hotspot allotment is exceeded.

As a reminder, AT&amp;T Turbo does not work when roaming, on Wi-Fi, or when you exceed your high-speed data allotments. Additionally, your plan&rsquo;s other management policies and restrictions, including your Video Management feature, will continue to apply when subscribed to AT&amp;T Turbo.
