  • Phone has been turned off
  • Multiple failed PIN or passcode attempts
  • ActiveArmor app uninstalled

To get alerts:

  1. Enter a valid email address during app setup or anytime in the app in Theft Alerts.
  2. Make sure your phone has a screen lock enabled, like a PIN, pattern, or password.
  3. Grant app permissions so ActiveArmor can access system info.

You'll need to grant location and camera permission to find the last known location of your phone and to use the camera to take a forward-facing picture at the location.

Select Device Theft Alerts

Choose which alerts you want to receive on your Android phone:

  1. Open the ActiveArmor app.
  2. Tap Device, then scroll to Phone Protection. For first time use, tap Enable now in Device Theft Alerts.

Finance

Set up Financial Monitoring

Use financial monitoring alerts to get notified of changes to your credit profile. This can include new inquiries, account updates, and payday loans.

Credit Profile

Enter your personal details to set up your credit profile. Your info stays private. It’s only used to verify you and get your credit data. You may need to confirm your identity by answering questions related to previous employers, previous addresses, and other info that may be on your credit history.

After setup and verification, you can choose what personal info you want monitored on the dark web.

Payday Loan

A payday loan is a short‑term, high‑interest loan meant to cover cash needs until your next paycheck. Stay informed about loans taken out that may be tied to your identity details.2

An alert will show the lenders’ name, merchant details, and loan status. If the activity isn’t yours, follow the app steps to report fraudulent activity and then choose to keep or delete the alert.

Internet

You can enable network protection options to minimize your risk of a digital breach on your phone. From the app home screen, tap Internet.

Wi-Fi Security and VPN

Make sure you enable Wi-Fi® security to get alerts when a threat is detected on a Wi-Fi network you joined.

  • Turn on Auto-connect VPN to encrypt your data when you connect to public Wi-Fi or another unsecured network. A VPN is your own virtual private network and helps protect your personal info. If you have another VPN running, the auto-connect won’t work.
  • Turn on Wi-Fi alerts to let you know whether you’re at risk or safe on public Wi-Fi.

Safe Browsing

Get a warning if you're about to look at a potentially unsafe website on a mobile browser on your phone when you use Safe Browsing.

Turn on Safe Browsing to anonymously check websites you look at to make sure you’re safe and your data is never shared or saved.

FYI: Safe Browsing may pause if another VPN or DNS profile is active on your phone. You can check your phone settings and the ActiveArmor app status to restart protection.

Safe Shopping and Banking

Get a warning about risky sites, view safety ratings, and block harmful sites with Safe Shopping and Banking. No tool can detect every threat, but this feature greatly reduces the risk of unsafe browsing. Use the icons to determine safety risk:

  • Green checkmark: The site is safe.
  • Red stop icon: The site may be dangerous.
  • Blue shield icon: ActiveArmor is protecting your browsing.

Important: Accessibility permissions must be turned on to protect you. It doesn’t collect info about your browsing activity.
