Before you begin

Requirements for deposit refunds on active accounts
  • You must complete 12 months of active service with AT&T.
  • During the 12 months, your account cannot be suspended for non-payment.
  • Your account must be current and paid in full.


More about deposit refunds
  • Sign in to your account to update your address.
  • It may take up to 15 days to process and send your refund.
  • Deposits do not earn interest except in states where it is required by law.

Canceled accounts

If you cancel your account, your security deposit is first applied to any account balance. After all final charges have posted to your account, any remaining credit balance will be refunded.

Canceled accounts with an eligible credit balance from a security deposit are processed approximately 60 days after the account was canceled. Please allow an extra 5-7 business days for your refund check to arrive.
