To repair Internet Explorer version 6 on Windows XP without an installation disk, do the following:
  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Select Run.
  3. When the the Run dialog box displays, type regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll in the Open field.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Select Run.
  6. When the the Run dialog box displays, type regsvr32 Shell32.dll in the Open field.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Select Run.
  9. When the the Run dialog box displays, type regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll in the Open field.
  10. Click OK.
  11. Select Run.
  12. When the the Run dialog box displays, type regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll in the Open field.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Select Run.
  15. When the the Run dialog box displays, type regsvr32 Mshtml.dll in the Open field.
  16. Click OK.
  17. Select Run.
  18. When the the Run dialog box displays, type regsvr32 Urlmon.dll in the Open field.
  19. Click OK.
  20. Reboot the PC.
