Payment timelines for online payments

It depends on how you pay your bill.

Payment type

Using online payments
When you pay online, the request for your payment is sent to your financial institution on the next business day. The actual transfer of money from your bank account or credit/debit card varies depending on your financial institution's processing. Paying prior to the due date will prevent a late payment charge that can be assessed when the payment is not received on or before the due date.

Paying automatically
When your bill is set up to be paid by one of our automatic payment services, AT&T will automatically submit a payment request to your bank account or credit/debit card before your due date. This will ensure that your payment is received on time. You will have plenty of time to review your bill and contact us with any questions before your bill is paid.
