File a device protection claim

Find out how to file and track a claim to replace your lost, stolen, or damaged phone, tablet, or other device.


Before you file a claim

Your device has be enrolled in AT&T device protection plans1. Not sure if it's enrolled? Go to Device protection & warranty. Sign in and choose your device. If you see Status: Insured, your wireless line's currently enrolled in a protection plan. Select Insured to see your plan details.

If your device is lost:

File and track a claim

FYI: You must file your claim within 60 days of loss or damage.
You can file and track your claim online or by phone:
Be ready to give this info:
  • The device brand and model
  • wireless security passcode or the last four digits of the AT&T account holder’s Social Security number or Tax ID number
  • An affidavit, personal ID, or proof of ownership

Additional info

When filing a claim:
  • Your wireless account must be active, and you can't have reached the maximum claims limit for your plan.
  • Asurion uses express delivery. In most cases, claims approved by 5 p.m. CST will be shipped and, in most cases, delivered the next day. Deliveries to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands can't be shipped for next day delivery.
  • Some devices will qualify for cracked screen repair.2 Screen repair is available in certain areas. If your device and area qualify, you'll be able to select screen repair during the claims process. You can go to a repair location or a repair tech can come to you.
