Using recovery mode
If you're having problems updating or restoring your device, you can enable recovery mode to restore or update with the assistance of your computer.
1.
From the Lock screen, press and hold the Top button and the Home button simultaneously.
For this tutorial, we're showing how to update iPad using recovery mode. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without deleting your data. You can choose to restore iPad instead, but steps may vary based on what you choose.

Continue to hold the Top button and connect the device to your computer.

On your computer, click Update.
After the update completes, follow the onscreen prompts to set up iPad.
