Teaching kids how to call 911
Teach your children how to dial 911 in the event of an emergency. They may need to know how to unlock your device.
1.
Press the Power button to wake up your device.
2.
Swipe up on the screen to unlock your phone.
If you have additional screen security set on your phone (e.g., a PIN), be sure to show your child how to unlock it.
3.
Tap the Phone icon.
4.
Tap the Keypad icon.
5.
Enter 911 on the keypad.
6.
Show your child where the Call icon is, but only tap it if there's an emergency.
You can also use Emergency Mode to extend your phone's battery life, call 911, send your location to a contact and more.
