Hiding or locking an app
Hide or lock individual apps in order for more personalized privacy.
1.
From the Home screen, touch and hold an app to bring up app shortcuts.
2.
Tap Require Passcode.
If Face ID or Touch ID is set up, you can use that instead.
3.
Tap Hide and Require Passcode.
Alternatively, you can tap Require Passcode to only lock the app.
4.
Enter your iPad's passcode.
5.
Tap Hide App.
6.
From the Home screen, swipe to the App library to view your hidden app folder.
This folder will obscure the presence of any apps you've hidden. Even when your iPad is unlocked, this folder won't display icons or open without verifying your Face ID or Touch ID again.
