1. To access messaging settings, from the Start screen, tap the Messaging tile.
   
2. Tap the Menu icon.
   
3. Tap settings.
   
4. The message center number is visible in the SMS center number field.
   Note: Changing the message center number will cause issues with incoming and outgoing messages.
   
5. To edit the emergency alert settings, tap Change emergency alerts settings.
   
6. Change the Desired settings.
   
7. To change notifications settings, from the Start screen, tap the Settings icon.
   
8. Tap the Settings icon.
   
9. Tap System.
   
10. Scroll to, then tap Notifications & actions from the settings menu.
    
11. Scroll to, then tap Messaging.
    
12. Turn the toggle on or off to activate or deactivate Notifications.
    
13. Tap the Notification sound menu to adjust.
    
14. Tap the Desired sound.
    
15. Tap on/off Notification banners and vibrate settings.
