Online Safety and Security

Today's consumers rely on their communications and entertainment services more than ever before to stay connected to their world. But as technology rapidly evolves, it is important for consumers to maintain their families' safety online. As the nation's leading broadband provider, we have a long-standing commitment to protecting children online, promoting a positive Internet experience and safeguarding free expression on the Internet.

AT&T offers a range of safety and control features for our devices and innovations. Parental controls are vital in safeguarding families, while tips on the latest scams and other safety issues help raise awareness. We have key partnerships with educational and advocacy groups to ensure safety and security online. Currently, AT&T works with organizations that promote online safety education and awareness, including Enough is Enough, iKeepSafe (Internet Safety Coalition) and the Ad Council's Internet Safety Coalition. Each organization strives to educate parents and children on how to be safe on the Internet.

AT&T is a founding partner in Project Online Safety, an organization that supports the broadcast of public service announcements about online safety and serves as an online resource for Internet safety tools and educational materials. We are also a member of the National Partnership for Safe Computing, which facilitates educational campaigns on online safety and computer security. The Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) includes AT&T as a member and recently presented us with the FOSI Award for Outstanding Achievement for our work in protecting kids on mobile devices. In addition, we're an active partner with National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Finally, AT&T works with all levels of government to ensure that elected officials can provide important online safety tools to their constituents.
