Connect with eSIM by AT&T. You can get unlimited data in North America or unlimited talk, text, and data in the U.S.

Plan details

To purchase eSIM by AT&T, you’ll need an unlocked phone that’s 5G¹ capable, dual SIM enabled, and has an open eSIM slot. Before you buy an eSIM plan, download the Connect on Demand app to confirm your device is eligible. You’ll also use the app to purchase and manage your plan.

The eSIM plans for U.S. only or North America (U.S., Mexico, and Canada) are covered by our network).² Plan options include:

7 days
15 days
30 days

Important info

Each plan also includes 5GB of hotspot data and the option to top up.
All U.S. plans include the option to purchase unlimited talk and text, as well as unlimited data.
eSIM by AT&T plans aren’t refundable or transferable. They must be purchased on the phone you’ll use it on. This means if you delete the eSIM or get a new phone, you’ll need to buy another plan.

Plan activation

Once you’re in the U.S. and your phone connects to a wireless network:

Open the Connect on Demand app.
Purchase an eSIM plan.
Follow the steps to download the eSIM.
Look in your phone settings and switch the eSIM for data to Connect on Demand. (See FYI for more info, or the FAQ section for specific instructions.)
Start browsing the internet or chatting with your family and friends.

FYI: If you purchased unlimited talk and text, you'll also need to switch the eSIM for the default voice line. Or, if you added Turbo Live by AT&T to your plan, it’ll automatically activate when you get close to the event.

View the steps to use eSIM by AT&T when in North America and when you're headed back home.

iPhone

Go to Settings.
Choose Cellular, then Cellular data.
Select based on the plan you purchased:

Data only:

For Data, select your newly downloaded Connect on Demand eSIM.
Leave Default Voice Line set to your primary (home service provider) eSIM.

Talk, text, and data:

For Data, select your newly downloaded Connect on Demand eSIM.
Set Default Voice Line to Connect on Demand eSIM.

Android

Go to Settings.
Select Network and internet, then SIMS.
Choose Connect on Demand SIM, then Use this SIM for data. (If you purchased a talk and text plan, also select Use this SIM for talk and text.)
Leave talk and text set to your home service provider.

FYI: Android steps may differ slightly between devices.

Plans don’t auto-renew. If you’re staying longer, you can top up and purchase more days of connectivity via the Connect on Demand app. You can’t pause your plan, and there aren’t any credits for unused days. If you leave in the middle of your service, your connection won’t work outside that area. But, if you come back into the service area in your selected time, the service will work. Make sure to switch your eSIM settings.
