Learn how to sync an Android watch or tablet to your smartphone number so you can make and receive calls, even if your phone isn’t nearby.

Sync and use an Android watch

Make calls using your watch with NumberSync, even if it isn’t nearby. (Your watch can only sync to one smartphone at a time.)

  1. Open the watch app on your phone.
  2. Follow the in-app steps to set up NumberSync.

In addition to making calls, you can also get notices and listen to your smartphone’s voicemail on the watch.

Want device-specific instructions? Go to Device Support, select your device, and enter NumberSync in the search field. If you’re still having trouble, you can get help with NumberSync issues.

Connect to our network

An Android watch connects in two different modes.

  • Bluetooth®: The watch uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone when they’re close together. When you make or receive a call on the watch, your phone handles the call but sends it to your watch. The smartphone also shares its data with the watch. Turning on airplane mode might not stop this connection.
  • Cellular: When the watch isn't in Bluetooth range, it connects to our network for talk and data service.

Remove NumberSync

If you want to unsync your Android watch to resync to another phone:

  1. Open the Watch app on your phone.
  2. Tap Watch settings, then Mobile plans.
  3. Select NumberSync and then Deactivate.
  4. Wait for the process to finish before you sync your new phone.

FYI: To remove NumberSync or to cancel your watch plan, contact us.
