Create secure sign-in credentials

The more complex your AT&T online account Password is, the more secure it will be. It should contain a combination of letters, digits and special characters. Do not use anything easily associated with you. It should not be the name of a family member, pet, telephone number, date, or a dictionary word in any language.


AT&T online account Password format requirements:

  • Is cAsE sEnSiTiVe, so make sure Caps Lock is not turned on your keyboard.
  • Must be 6 to 24 characters long.
  • Can be comprised of any combination of letters, numbers and special characters.
  • Cannot contain a space or any of the following special characters / > ' ] [ } { | ; , + =
  • Should be something that is easy for you to remember.
  • Do not use anything easily associated with you.
  • The more complex your Password is, the more secure it will be.

AT&T online account User ID format requirements:

  • Must be 6 to 20 characters long.
  • Can be comprised of any combination of letters, numbers and special characters.
  • Should be something that is easy for you to remember.
