Wireless Gateway
The U-verse Wireless Gateway is a single, intelligent device that
brings together all your U-verse services, both Internet and digital TV, and
distributes them throughout your home. It enables wireless networking
capabilities throughout your home and is powerful enough to help
eliminate wireless dead spots.
Your Wireless Gateway will connect to:
- Your personal computers via Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or a USB port so you
can use AT&T U-verse High Speed Internet service. - Your AT&T U-verse receivers so you can watch AT&T U-verse TV
from as many as eight TVs in your home. - Your personal devices such as Wi-Fi cameras, network printers,
mass storage devices, and more.

U-verse High Speed Internet Equipment
U-verse High Speed Internet and U-verse TV were designed to work in concert. The Wireless Gateway is the brain that brings them together.
Wireless Gateway
The Wireless Gateway is located inside your house and uses electrical
power to deliver all your U-verse services, including U-verse High
Speed Internet. This smart technology allows you to:
- Provide high speed Internet connections to multiple home computers
- Create safe and secure wireless home networking
- Provide Wi-Fi connections for devices such as Smartphones and
Netbooks - Connect to personal devices such as W-Fi cameras, network printers,
and mass storage drives
Battery Backup
The Battery Backup allows your U-verse services to function during
a power outage. To conserve the battery during a power outage, AT&T
recommends you don't use any U-verse services other than U-verse
Voice until power is restored. With a new, fully charged backup battery,
you should receive approximately four hours of battery backup power.

Professional Installation
Professional U-verse Internet installation by AT&T includes:
- Technician Call – Installation takes about 4 hours, depending on individual service, receiver, and wiring needs
- Order Confirmation – The technician will review and confirm the selection on your order
- Testing – Before starting any wiring, the technician will run tests to make sure U-verse can be installed at your address
- Internet Connection – The technician will work with you to place your Wireless Gateway in the best location for the fastest connection possible
Once installation is complete, you may configure your Internet service using the U-verse High Speed Internet Service Setup application.
