Using Check In to notify others when you reach a destination
From a text conversation, tap the Plus icon.
Tap More.
Tap Check In.
Tap Continue.
Choose the data you'd like to share if you don't arrive.
Limited shows your current location, battery level, and cell reception. Full shows your current location, battery level, cell reception, when your iPhone was last unlocked, and the route you took to your last location.
Tap Continue.
Tap Send a Check In.
Tap Edit.
Choose if you want to send details when you arrive or after a timer.
Tap Change.
Tap the Search Bar.
Enter your destination.
Select your destination.
Tap Done.
Choose your travel mode.
Tap Add Time.
If you've chosen After a timer, after the timer is complete, you will be prompted to let your contact know that you have arrived safely.
Select your destination time.
Tap Done.
Tap the Send icon.
You've completed the steps!
