Turning RCS messaging on or off
RCS (Rich Communication Services) is an upgraded messaging standard that enables features like read receipts, typing indicators, high-quality media sharing, and improved group chats over your network.
1.
From within the Settings app, scroll to and tap Apps.

Scroll to and tap Messages.
3.
Scroll to and tap RCS Messaging.
If the RCS Messaging setting doesn't appear, RCS may not be supported on your plan.
4.
Tap the RCS Messaging toggle to enable or disable the feature.
After turning on RCS for the first time, it may take a few minutes to activate.
