Instructions

   RIM BlackBerry Torch 9800 Keypad Layout 
 
Place a call
  1. Press the Send/Phone key.
  2. Use one of the following methods to place a call:
     
     
    • From the Dial Pad
      1. Enter the desired phone number or contact name, then press the Send/Phone key.
            
         
    • From the Call Log
      1. Scroll to and select the desired contact or number.
            
          
    • From Contacts
      1. Scroll to and select the desired contact.
            
          
      2. If more than one number exists for the selected contact, select the desired number.
            
Receive a call      
  1. To accept the call, press the Send/Phone key.
       
    • To ignore the call and send it to Voicemail, press the End key.
    • To silence the ringer, press the trackpad or tap "Ringer Off" on the screen. 
Receive a second call
  • During a call, press the Menu key:
      
    • Press the Send/Phone key to answer the incoming call and place the current call on hold
    • Press the End key to ignore the incoming call and send it to voicemail.
    • Press the Menu key to open the "call menu" which contains 3 options to handle the second incoming call:
          
      • Answer - Hold Current: Answers incoming call places current call on hold.
      • Answer - Drop Current: Answers incoming call drops current call.
      • Ignore: Ignores incoming call and sends it to voicemail.
