Use Call Waiting or 3-Way Calling with the HTC Windows Phone 8X (PM23300)


Make a conference call (3-way calling)

  1. While a call is active, tap Add call.
  2. Tap the desired option:
  3. Once the call is connected, tap Merge calls to create a conference call.
    NOTE: To put the current call on hold and resume the waiting call, tap Swap at the top of the screen.
  4. The calls will be connected.
    • Tap Private to make a call private, and put the other call on hold.
    • Tap End call to hang up both calls.

Receive a second call (call waiting)

  • When a second call is received, tap the desired option:
    • Answer: Place the current call on hold, and answer the new incoming call.
    • Ignore: Send the new incoming call to voicemail.
    • End call + Answer: Hang up the current call, and answer the new incoming call.

Unable to place or receive a call

  1. Tap the top of the screen to verify your phone has sufficient signal strength.
  2. Power your device off and back on.
  3. If attempting to place an outbound call, verify you're correctly dialing the number:
    • If calling a US number, use the mandatory 10 or 11 digit dialing pattern (example: "407-555-1212" or "1-407-555-1212").
    • If calling an international number or roaming internationally, tap and hold the 0 key to enter a "+" before the entering the number.
  4. If attempting to receive inbound calls, please verify call forwarding is disabled.
