1. From the home screen, tap the Messaging icon.
   
2. Tap the Menu icon.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. Tap Notifications.
   
5. Tap Notification sound in order to change the alert sound.
   
6. Tap to select the desired Notification alert.
   
7. Tap to further adjust Notification settings.
   
8. To change the message center number, first, tap Text messages (SMS).
   
9. Tap Service center.
   
10. Tap to enter the desired Service center number.
    
11. Tap OK.
    
12. Tap Emergency alerts to adjust emergency notification settings.
    
13. Tap to adjust emergency alerts.
    
14. To restore default settings, first, tap the Menu icon.
    
15. Tap Restore default settings.
