1. Press the Volume keys to adjust the ringtone volume level.
   
2. From the home screen, swipe down from the status bar.
   
3. Tap Notifications.
   
4. Tap the Vibrate switch to toggle vibrate on or off.
   
5. Tap the Mode field to set the desired notification mode.
   
6. Tap the desired option.
   
7. When silent mode is active, the Silent icon will display in the status bar.
