Add your Google account to sync Gmail, Chrome, YouTube, Google Maps, and more.

  1. Registering a Google account allows you to download and purchase content in the Google Play Store, access email through the Gmail application, receive personalized Google Search results, and have your account automatically logged in for all other Google-based services on your device.

  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal the Notifications menu.

  3. Tap the Settings icon.

  4. Tap Accounts.

  5. Tap Add Account.

  6. Tap Google.

  7. Tap Existing.
    Note: If you need a Google account, tap 'New' and follow the on-screen prompts, or visit www.gmail.com.

  8. Enter the account email address and password, and then tap the Right arrow.

  9. Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy will be displayed. Tap OK.

  10. Change settings as desired, then tap the Right arrow.

  11. The Google account is now active and ready for use. Tap Google to view and edit the account settings.
