1. From the home screen, tap Messaging.
   
2. Press the Menu key.
   
3. Tap Settings.
   
4. Tap the Display field to adjust message display settings.
   
5. To restore to default settings, press the Menu key.
   
6. Tap Restore default settings.
   
7. To adjust notification settings, first press the Menu key.
   
8. Tap Settings.
   
9. Scroll to, then tap Sound.
   
10. Tap Default notifications.
    
11. Scroll to, then tap the desired ringtone.
    
12. Tap OK.
