1. To enter a character, tap the designated key on the Keypad. Tap multiple times to cycle through the character options for that key.
   
2. To enter a symbol, press and hold the 1 key.
   
3. Select the desired symbol, then press the Center Nav key.
   
4. To change input method, press and hold the # key.
   
5. Select the desired method, then press the Center Nav key.
   
6. To change the keyboard settings, from the home screen press the Menu key > Settings > Language & input.
