Messaging settings

Change text (SMS), picture (MMS), emergency, and amber alert settings.

  1. To access messaging settings, from the Start screen, tap the Messaging tile.

  3. Tap settings.

  4. The message center number is visible in the SMS center number field.
    Note: Changing the message center number will cause issues with incoming and outgoing messages.

  5. To edit the emergency alert settingstap Change emergency alert settings.

  6. Change the Desired settings.

  7. To change notifications settings, from the Start screen, tap the Settings icon.

  8. Tap System.

  9. Scroll to, then tap Notifications & actions from the settings menu.

  10. Scroll to, then tap Messaging.

  11. Turn on the toggle on or off to Activate notifications.

  12. Tap the Notification sound field to adjust.

  13. Tap the Desired sound.

  14. Tap on/off Notification banners and vibrate settings.
