Backup & Restore Using Your Microsoft Account
Use your Microsoft Account to choose how your phone backs up your apps, settings, text messages, and photos.
INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
- If you have a Microsoft account, you can set your phone to back up your settings, apps, photos and video. To sync your Microsoft Account to your device for back up, tap the Settings tile.
- Scroll to, then tap Accounts.
- Tap Your email and accounts.
- If you have a Microsoft Account you want to use, tap Sign in with a Microsoft account instead.Â
Note: For this demonstration, Sign In was selected.
- Enter your Microsoft account email and password, then tap Sign in. If you prefer to create a new Microsoft account, tap Create one!
- For security purposes, you will prompted to enter a PIN. If desired, tap Set a pin otherwise tap Skip this step.
- Once you're signed in, from the Settings menu tap Update & security
- Tap Backup.
- Tap More options.
- Tap Back up now.
