Phone Assembly
Install and remove the SIM card, microSD card, and battery.
INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
- When the SIM card is missing, the Missing SIM icon will display in the Notification bar.
REMOVE BACK COVER & BATTERY: Remove the back cover of the device by untwisting the two screws at the top of the battery cover. Remove the battery by gently pulling up from the notch on the top.
INSERT/REMOVE SIM CARD: Slide up and gently lift the SIM slot. Place the SIM card into the SIM slot with the metal contacts facing down and the notched edge to the upper left. Push the SIM slot back down and slide down to close.
Note: This device can support two SIM cards.
- INSERT/REMOVE MEMORY CARD: Slide down and gently lift the microSD slot. Insert an optional microSD up to 128GB into the microSD card slot, with the metal contacts facing down and the notched edge to the lower left. Push the microSD slot back down and slide up to close.
Note: The XP5s comes with 16GB of usable internal memory. MicroSD cards expand the storage capacity of device and are sold separately. To prevent data corruption, it is recommended to unmount your memory card before removing it. To unmount your memory card, from the home screen press the App tray button > down directional button to highlight the Settings app > Select button > down directional button to scroll to Storage > Select button > down directional button to scroll to the microSD card under Portable storage > Select button > Options button > down directional button to highlight Storage settings > Select button > down directional button to scroll to EJECT > Select button.
- REPLACE BATTERY: Place the battery in the battery slot with the gold contacts on the battery lined up with the gold contacts on the phone.
- REPLACE BACK COVER: Place the cover on the back of the phone and gently twist the screws back into place. The cover should be flush with the rest of the device.
