Block or Unblock Messages

In this tutorial, you will learn how to:

• Block messages
• Unblock messages
• Block unknown numbers

Block messages

1. From the home screen, select the Messages app.

2. Select and hold the desired message thread, then select the Block icon. To report spam, ensure the Report spam checkbox is selected. Select OK to block the desired number.

Note: Blocking the number will add the Contact to the Blocked numbers list, which is separate from the Spam & blocked list. To access the Blocked  numbers list, from Messages app, select the  Menu icon > Spam & blocked >  Menu icon > Blocked contacts.

Unblock messages

1. To remove a number from the Spam & blocked list, from the Messages app, select the  Menu icon then select Spam & blocked. Select the desired message thread.

2. Select Unblock. This will restore the blocked conversation and unblock the contact.

Block unknown numbers

From the home screen, select the  Phone app >  Menu icon > Settings > Block numbers > Block unknown/private numbers switch.
