Enable or Disable the firewall in your AT&T provided modem or gateway
By default, your 2Wire Gateway firewall is enabled. We recommend you only use one firewall so you don't slow down your connection speed. The instructions apply only to PPPoE customers for all 2Wire Gateway models.
Enable or disable the firewall
To disable the 2Wire Gateway firewall
Access your router's GUI at http://homeportal/setup. You must be connected to your high speed internet via your 2Wire Gatway/Modem to view this link.
The firewall status will be displayed under the Firewall heading on the right side of the screen.
Click either of the Firewall icons (these look like locks) or click the View Firewall Status link.
Click the Firewall Settings link in the navigation bar.
Choose Allow all applications (DMZplus mode).
Click the Done button.
To enable the 2Wire Gateway firewall
