AT&T Internet Air, also called AIA, is a fixed wireless 5G home internet service that uses the AT&T 5G network to deliver internet to your home through the AT&T All-Fi Hub. Unlike cable or DSL, it does not need coaxial cable or phone lines, and it is designed for home use at a qualified address, not as a mobile hotspot. It includes unlimited data with no data caps. Read more about what Internet Air is and explore other home internet options.

Enter your full address in the AT&T internet availability checker to check Internet Air availability and eligibility. If you are eligible, AT&T has verified your location for optimal signal strength and fast speeds. Availability is based on the 5G signal at your specific address, so not every home in a covered area qualifies. Internet Air is available in New York, where customers across the state could sign up starting 6/7/26. If your address qualifies, select Internet Air in the online shop or contact AT&T for help signing up. If you want Fiber instead, sign up to be notified. To see where Fiber is built, view the AT&T Fiber coverage map.

AT&T Internet Air is one simple plan, and the price you see depends on your address and offers at the time you order. An eligible AT&T wireless plan can lower the price, but you do not need to be an AT&T wireless customer to get Internet Air. AutoPay and paperless billing may be required for the advertised price. The plan has no annual contract, no data caps and no overage fees. Compare it with Fiber on the internet plans page. Pricing and promotions vary by address, so check availability to see current pricing and offers for your address.

AT&T Internet Air delivers typical download speeds between 89 and 346 Mbps and upload speeds between 8 and 30 Mbps over the 5G wireless network. Your speeds depend on the connection the All-Fi Hub achieves with the AT&T network, 5G signal strength at your address, hub placement, the number of connected devices and network congestion. AT&T continues to update these figures as it monitors results. See how this compares on the internet plans page. FCC guidance on download speeds by usage:

Basic service (3-8 Mbps) for one to two users or devices at a time: email, browsing, basic video and internet radio.

Medium service (12-25 Mbps) for two to three users or devices: basic functions plus one high-demand application such as HD video, video conferencing or online gaming.

Advanced service (25+ Mbps) for three to four users or devices: basic functions plus more than one high-demand application at the same time.

AT&T Internet Air uses the AT&T 5G wireless network, so it needs no cables or phone lines and you set it up yourself, with typical download speeds of 89-346 Mbps. AT&T Fiber uses a physical fiber-optic connection with speeds up to 5 GIG and equal upload and download speeds. Internet Air may be available where Fiber has not been built yet, and Fiber generally supports faster and more consistent performance. Check availability to see which options you can order.

All three provide home internet over a 5G network, so the best choice depends on which service is available at your address and the terms you get. Compare the price after promotions and bundle discounts, whether there is an annual contract, data caps or equipment fees, typical speeds and what happens during an outage. AT&T Internet Air has no annual contract, no data caps, no overage fees and self-setup, with typical download speeds of 90-300 Mbps. It is covered by the AT&T Guarantee, which credits your bill for outages lasting 20 minutes or more. Check availability to see your options.

5G home internet, cable internet and satellite internet reach your home in different ways. 5G home internet, such as AT&T Internet Air, uses a 5G cellular network and an in-home device, the AT&T All-Fi Hub, so it needs no cable run or satellite dish and you set it up yourself. Cable internet uses coaxial lines and may share capacity with nearby customers, so performance can change when more people in your area are online, and upload speeds are often lower than download speeds. Satellite internet uses a dish that connects to satellites, which can serve places with few wired options, but speed, latency and data allowances vary by provider and plan, and the dish needs a clear view of the sky.

AT&T Internet Air has no annual contract. Because 5G performance depends on signal at your address, check availability to see if it is offered where you live. If you want wired speeds up to 5 GIG, see AT&T Fiber and how fiber compares with cable, or compare every option on the home internet overview.

No. AT&T Internet Air includes unlimited data with no data caps and no overage fees, so you can stream, game and work as much as you like. In rare cases, if your usage is contributing to congestion on the network, AT&T will greatly reduce your speed for a minimum of 30 minutes, and AT&T may also temporarily slow speeds when the network is busy. This network management practice is not an overage charge. See plan details.

AT&T Internet Air does not require an annual contract, and there is no monthly gateway fee because the All-Fi Hub is included. AT&T may recommend extenders for more consistent Wi-Fi coverage in your home. AT&T Extended Wi-Fi Coverage Service provides the extenders for an additional monthly charge, and the number of extenders is determined by AT&T. Review the plan details for terms. Pricing and promotions vary by address, so check availability to see current pricing and offers for your address.

Yes. The AT&T All-Fi Hub is an all-in-one device that connects to the AT&T 5G network and powers Wi-Fi coverage for your home. It is included with the service and is self-installed. Placement matters: positioning it near a window or exterior wall may help it receive a stronger signal. Learn how Wi-Fi extenders work and see things that can block Wi-Fi signals.

No technician is needed. AT&T Internet Air is self-setup, and you can do it at your convenience. Download the AT&T Smart Home Manager app, sign in and create your account, then scan the QR code on your All-Fi Hub to connect. If you are not using the app, place the hub in a recommended spot, plug it in, wait for it to connect, then join the Wi-Fi network it broadcasts. See the full Internet Air setup guide, or call AT&T for help.

AT&T Internet Air can support web browsing, email, streaming, video calls, remote work, online gaming, smart home devices, file downloads and multiple connected users. Your experience depends on signal strength, network conditions, hub placement and the number of devices using the connection at once.

AT&T Internet Air can support online gaming for many households, with typical download speeds of 90-300 Mbps and upload speeds of 8-30 Mbps. Because it is wireless, your experience depends on 5G signal strength at your address, hub placement and network conditions. For fast competitive games where low latency matters most, AT&T Fiber with a wired connection is the stronger option where available. See the AT&T internet for gaming page and check which service you can get.

AT&T Internet Air is a fixed home internet service tied to the address you specify at purchase. It is not designed for use as a mobile or travel hotspot. If you are moving, check whether Internet Air is available at your new address in the availability checker, then use AT&T moving services or the transfer portal to set up service there, or call AT&T for help.

Reliability depends on the 5G signal at your address, which is why AT&T verifies each location for expected signal strength and speeds before offering Internet Air. Hub placement, the number of connected devices and network congestion also affect performance. Internet Air has no annual contract, and the AT&T Guarantee covers Internet Air: if an outage causes your connection to drop, your bill drops too, with credit for downtime lasting 20 minutes or more. Check availability to see if your address qualifies.

Start by restarting the All-Fi Hub: unplug it, wait briefly and plug it back in. Next, check for internet outages in your area.
