AT&T Internet AirSM

Learn about our new wireless home internet service.

What is AT&T Internet Air?

AT&T Internet Air is our new fixed wireless home internet service delivered over the reliable AT&T wireless network. AT&T Internet Air is currently available in select locations.

Fixed wireless is sometimes referred to as wireless internet, wireless broadband or 5G home internet. With this type of service, a cellular provider sends signals in all directions, and a Wi-Fi® gateway receives those signals and turns them into a home internet connection.

How do I find out if I can get AT&T Internet Air at my address?

Existing AT&T customers will be notified of eligibility for AT&T Internet Air service as it becomes available to them.  If you are not a current AT&T internet customer, please visit www.att.com/internetair to check if AT&T Internet Air is available at your address.

What if I already have home internet service with AT&T? Can I switch to AT&T Internet Air?

Existing AT&T internet customers will be notified of eligibility for AT&T Internet Air service as it becomes available to them. We have begun offering select existing customers the ability to switch their current home internet service to AT&T Internet Air. Visit www.att.com/switchtoaia for more details.

Why is AT&T Internet Air not available at my address?

Customers will be notified of eligibility for AT&T Internet Air service as it becomes available. We are hyper-focused on deploying the service in areas with enough wireless coverage and capacity to deliver not only a great in-home fixed wireless experience, but also maintaining a top-notch wireless service for existing customers.

How does AT&T Internet Air compare with AT&T Fiber?

AT&T Internet Air is currently available only in select areas and where AT&T Fiber is not available.

AT&T Fiber provides superfast internet for all that you do with up to 5 GIG speeds.  At AT&T, we believe fiber internet offers a best-in-class home internet experience, and we continue to expand our fiber footprint. Where fiber is not available or feasible, fixed wireless, or wireless broadband, is a viable solution that can deliver reliable connectivity to communities across the country.

Limitations: AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy. Service may be slowed, suspended, terminated or restricted for misuse, abnormal use, interference with our network or ability to provide quality service to others.
