Is there a fee charged for an approved claim?

Yes. A $0, $49, or $99 Service Fee is required per approved claim, depending on the equipment. You will be billed via credit card at the time the claim is filed. For more details, please refer to the Terms & Conditions.

When does my HomeTech Protection coverage start?

Tech support starts at the time of enrollment and protection coverage starts 31 days after enrollment.

How do I cancel HomeTech Protection?

You can cancel HomeTech Protection by calling 866.642.4170 or visiting att.com/myatt . You can cancel your HomeTech Protection service at any time. Note: You have 30 days after cancellation to file a claim as long as you have been enrolled for a minimum of 30 days.

What technical support is provided with HomeTech Protection?

HomeTech Protection includes 24/7 technical support for all your eligible home tech devices. You can get help with: • Connecting your household Wi-Fi devices • Setting up new devices • Using and getting the most out of your devices • Troubleshooting your devices if you run into an issue

How do I get technical support from an expert?

When and how often can I call for technical support?

There’s no limit to the number of times you can contact an expert for technical support. Expert technical support is available to you 24/7, every day of the year.

How can I make an appointment for a device installation or in-home visits for Wi-Fi?

Is there a fee charged for additional in-home visits?

AT&T HomeTech Protection subscribers get two in-home consultations per year (12 month period) with no additional charge. For device installations, the $49 fee covers one installation of one device. Multiple devices require separate appointments (price per install). If install is not completed, then you’ll be reimbursed the $49 fee. But AT&T expects that in-scope services will be completed within one visit regardless of time requirement (within reason).

How do I track my claim limits?

When I file a claim, what kind of replacement product will I receive?

If Asurion is unable to repair your product and it needs to be replaced, you may get one of the following, at Asurion’s discretion: • A new, refurbished, or remanufactured product of equal or similar features and functionality that performs to the factory specifications of the original covered product • Reimbursement for the replacement cost of the product

Are smartphones covered?

No. HomeTech Protection does not cover smartphones. If you would like coverage for your smartphone, you must enroll in a device protection program that has smartphone coverage. For more information on device protection programs that cover smartphones, please visit att.com/protectadvantage .

What if I have Protect Advantage Multi-Device and HomeTech Protection, how do I know which plan to use?

HomeTech Protection covers accidental damage from handling as a result of normal use for: laptops, non-connected tablets, portable DVD/Blue-ray players, portable gaming devices, non-connected wearables, audio headsets, virtual reality headset, and printer display screens only. Protect Advantage Multi-Device covers connected devices, watches, or tablets. It also covers eligible non-connected tablets & laptops. How do I know if my tablet or smartwatch is connected or non-connected to know whether it’s covered under HomeTech Protection?

Non-connected means not connected to a data plan. If your tablet or smartwatch can use a SIM card to connect to cellular network, it is not covered by this plan. To confirm whether your tablet or smartwatch is covered, you can call Asurion at 866.562.8662.

Does this plan cover devices for loss and theft?

No, this plan does not cover any devices for loss or theft.

Eligible in-home products are covered for mechanical or electrical failure caused by: (i) defects in materials and/or workmanship; (ii) power surge; (iii) dust, heat or humidity; (iv) normal wear and tear; or (v) unintentional and accidental damage from handling as a result of normal use (“ADH”) for laptops, tablets, portable DVD/Blu-ray players, portable gaming devices, wearables, audio headsets, virtual reality headset and printer display screens only.

There is no limit to the number of home tech devices covered by HomeTech Protection.

You may file an unlimited number of claims in a 12-month timeframe, but there is an aggregate $5,000 limit per household for that 12-month period.

Additionally, there is a $2,000 single claim limit.

An approved claim will apply to your total claim limit for 12 months after the claim is completed. After 12 months (from the time the claim is completed), the amount of that claim will no longer apply to your total claim limit, and the amount will be added back to your available claim-limit allowance.

¹The plan begins on day 1 with access to technical support. Device protection coverage begins on day 31 of enrollment. Pre-existing conditions or breakdowns that occur within the first 30 days of enrollment are not covered. Device coverage includes mechanical and electrical breakdown on eligible devices and Accidental Damage from Handling for certain portable devices. A service fee of $0, $49, or $99 plus tax will be charged for each approved claim. Non-original parts may be used for repair, and a replacement product may be a new, refurbished, or remanufactured product.

AT&T HomeTech Protection is $25+tax per month and will continue to renew each month unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time for no additional charge. If cancelled, a pro-rata refund of the service contract coverage may be provided as described in the terms and conditions. Limitations and exclusions apply. ²This plan does not cover smartphones and most devices connected to a data plan. The plan excludes coverage for products that are not owned by you or that are leased or rented, including routers or modems leased from your internet service provider. PCs eligible for coverage under this Plan are those equipped with a Windows Operating System version Windows 8 or newer or Android version 1.6 or newer and Apple computers which are equipped with an Apple operating system version OS X (10) or newer or Chrome OS. This plan does not cover loss or theft.
