Learn who can manage accounts online at myAT&T

Manage your account online with either primary or secondary online access.

Account owner and online access

The account owner is the person who is financially responsible for an account. The account owner:
  • Is named when the account is set up
  • Has their name listed on the bill

Online access levels

You may have primary or secondary online access in myAT&T. Primary and secondary online users can do many of the same things, including:
  • Access and manage the account online
  • Change or upgrade plans and services
  • Manage add-ons
  • View and pay bills
  • Transfer billing responsibility
  • Update profile info (email, phone number, address)
  • Add or remove retail authorized users (primary only)
  • Add or remove secondary online access users (primary only)
  • Transfer primary access to a secondary user (primary only)

Primary online access

This can belong to only one person or user ID at a time. The person with primary access:
  • Is often the account owner, but that's not required
  • Controls who else can manage the account online

Secondary online access

This can belong to multiple people or user IDs.

A person with secondary access can co-manage the account online in myAT&T. They can do most of the same things as the person with primary access.
