DETAILED INFO

Details about accepting a transfer request

You'll have to:
  • Review the charges associated with any service or wireless plan, installment plan, or add-ons.
  • Be required to complete a (and have a satisfactory) credit check.
Your first bill may be higher than normal because it:
  • Shows charges for a full month of service billed in advance
  • Includes partial month charges—this amount is based on the number of days your service is active before the next bill period starts

Wireless accounts

You'll have to review and accept:
  • Each wireless line being transferred. Existing wireless customers may be able to transfer the line(s) to an existing plan on their account or create a new wireless group with a different plan.
  • Any AT&T installment plan(s) being transferred and assigned to you (if applicable)
  • The Transfer of Billing Responsibility Terms & Conditions for Acceptor
  • The AT&T Consumer Service Agreement and other applicable service terms and conditions

Internet, phone, or TV accounts

You'll have to:
  • Review and accept the current internet, TV, or home phone plans
  • Keep the service at the existing service address – it can't be changed with a transfer of billing responsibility request
  • The Transfer of Billing Responsibility Terms & Conditions for Acceptor
  • The AT&T Consumer Service Agreement and other applicable service terms and conditions
FYI: If you accept a transfer of DIRECTV service, make sure you register your DIRECTV account.
