Keep card on file to pay your balance if service is canceled

We store your card info to cover any unpaid balances if you, or we, cancel your service.

When you open an AT&T account or order a new product, we may ask you for a credit, debit, or refillable AT&T PREPAID card number. We’ll keep that card on file to pay any remaining balances if you don’t pay your final bill by the due date. This is part of the Payment Upon Cancellation Authorization you agreed to.

Good to know:
Make sure the name on your account matches the name on your card.

Final bills may include:
  • Partial-month (pro-rated) service charges
  • Early Termination Fees
  • Equipment non-return fees
  • Outstanding balances for devices or equipment on installment plans
