What is Stream Saver?
Stream Saver® allows for streaming content it identifies as high-definition (HD) video at standard-definition (SD) quality (similar to a DVD, about 480p) on each line.1 This way, you don't use as much data when streaming video content on your device.

How to turn Stream Saver off or on

  1. Go to your usage in myAT&T.
  2. Look under the usage pie chart and select Manage data.
  3. Toggle Stream Saver Off or On for the device you want to manage.
  4. Select Save.
  5. Wait 5 minutes and restart the device you updated.


Heads up: If you have a multi-line account, everyone on your account can manage Stream Saver settings for their own device. Find out how to manage wireless data use

Have a business account with access to Premier?

  1. Go to Premier.
  2. From the I want to dropdown, select View Account and Usage. Then, from the Lookup Type dropdown, select Wireless Number, enter the wireless line you want to update, and select Go
  3. Under Usage settings you will see Stream Saver if the line is eligible.
    • If you see Stream Saver, the line is eligible. Select Change and follow the prompts. Wait 5 minutes and restart the device that was updated.
    • If you don't see Stream Saver, the line isn't eligible.
