Unable to receive calls

If you can’t receive calls on your digital home phone, check out our tips or try the Troubleshoot & Resolve tool.


Restore incoming calls

If you aren’t getting incoming calls, try these tips:
  • If you have a cordless phone, be sure it has power.
  • Check that all cords are securely connected to your gateway.
  • Restart your gateway by unplugging it from the power source (this will temporarily interrupt your AT&T Internet and TV services). Plug the power cord back in and wait two minutes for the gateway to power up.
  • If you’re able to call out, have a friend call your phone as a test.

Verify call forwarding is off 
If you are still having problems, verify that call forwarding isn’t activated.
  1. Go to Account overview > My digital phone.
  2. Select My voicemail & phone features > Phone Features.
  3. Select All Call Forwarding.
  4. Make sure the Off radio button is selected.
  5. Select Save.

If you're still having issues, try Troubleshoot and Resolve from your PC or TV.

Troubleshoot & Resolve from your PC
Access Troubleshoot & Resolve using your Member ID and password.

Troubleshoot & Resolve from your TV
If you have U-verse TV service, you can use the Troubleshoot & Resolve tool on your TV.
  1. Press Menu > Help > Troubleshoot & Resolve > Voice.
  2. Choose your issue and press OK.
  3. Follow the prompts.
