Unable to receive calls

Calls not getting through to your AT&T Phone or AT&T Phone - Advanced? Try our tips to get them working.

Tips to restore incoming calls

  • Make sure any cordless phones have power.
  • Confirm required cords are securely connected to your Wi-Fi® gateway or All-Fi Hub.
  • Restart your gateway or hub. Unplug it for 30 seconds and then plug it back in. This will interrupt any services connected to the internet.
  • Phone a friend, if you can make calls. Then, have them try and call you back as a test.

Verify call forwarding is off

Still having issues? Make sure call forwarding isn’t turned on.

  1. Go to your myAT&T account overview and select My digital phone.
  2. Choose My voicemail & phone features and then Phone Features.
  3. Select All Call Forwarding.
  4. Make sure Off is selected.
  5. Select Save.

Tips to restore incoming calls

  • Make sure any cordless phones have power.
  • Confirm cords are connected between your phone and your AP-A device.
  • Check the phone port indicator on the back of the device. It should be solid green (for ready) or slow flashing green (for ringing or ongoing call).
  • If it’s fast flashing green, call AT&T Customer Care at 866.328.8559. When prompted, say AT&T Phone – Advanced, then Technical Support.
  • Reset your AP-A device. Quickly press and release the red RESET button on the back.
  • Check your wireless connection. If you’re using wireless only, the cell strength indicator should have two or more bars. If it doesn’t, try moving it to different location in your home – higher floor or closer to a window.
  • Phone a friend, if you can make calls. Then, have them try and call you back as a test.
