We’re ending the Home Wiring Protection Plan

On August 18, 2019, we’ll remove this maintenance plan from your account.


Info about the change

We’re letting everyone who has the Home Wiring Protection Plan on their account know it will end August 18, 2019. The plan covers U-verse® TV or AT&T Internet repair charges due to wiring and wall jack issues inside the home.

Good to know: You may have received a message from us because you have this maintenance plan linked to your account, email, or phone number.

What this means for you

You don’t have to do a thing. We’ll automatically remove the plan’s $6 monthly charge from your bill on August 18, 2019. We’ll prorate your bill so you only pay for the days that you had the plan. It may take up to 2 bill periods for a credit to show up on your bill.

Heads up: If you call for service after your plan ends and the issue is found to be in your home, we’ll charge your account $99. This charge includes our tech coming to your house, identifying the issue, and repairing it. All billable repairs come with a 90-day warranty.
