Messaging requirements
To use messaging, you'll need a plan that includes messaging.

Set up AT&T Messaging
Check if your wireless plan already includes domestic messaging.

If your current plan doesn’t include messaging, you’ll need to change to a plan that includes it. Visit Talk, Text and Data Plans for plan information.

When sending messages to overseas countries they’ll be charged at pay per use rates unless you have an international texting package.

To add or remove an international texting package follow the steps in Change or remove AT&T wireless features.
