The Galaxy S7 active passed rigorous tests to ensure IP68 certification for water resistance. Samsung stands behind this water resistance certification, and will replace any Galaxy S7 active under its standard limited warranty, should water damage occur.


You can receive a warranty exchange for your phone if:
  • You’re exchanging it for another Samsung Galaxy S7 active.
  • You purchased it from AT&T or an AT&T Authorized Retailer.
  • You purchased the phone less than one year ago.
  • Your issues are related to water damage.

Check for water damage
To check if your Galaxy S7 active has water damage:
  1. Remove the SIM card tray.
  2. The Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI) is located inside the SIM tray slot. It is a small white square block with red “X” marks.
  3. If your phone is water damaged, the white box will be pink or red.

Insurance coverage
