Set up Face ID for the AT&T app

Learn how Face ID gives you quick access to your AT&T account info on your iOS device.


Enable the AT&T app to use Face ID

Face ID and other facial recognition technologies are used as a layer of security for the app itself. The AT&T app still requires your AT&T ID and password, which must be saved on your device for Face ID to work.

  1. Make sure Face ID is already set up on your device.
  2. Open the AT&T app
  3. Tap Manage app settings.
  4. Turn on Face ID. This setting only appears on compatible devices.
  5. Follow the prompts to complete the process.

Don’t have the app yet? Download the AT&T app now or text ATTapp to 556699, and we’ll send you a download link. Keep in mind, the app requires a compatible device and account registration. Data and messaging rates may apply for app download and usage.

  • You can disable Face ID for the AT&T app by using Manage app settings.
  • AT&T doesn't store your unique facial information in the AT&T app. We use the function that's included on your device.
