[AT&T Wireless](https://www.att.com/support/wireless/) # Remove AT&T ActiveArmor and your personal data You can deactivate, downgrade, or uninstall the app from your phone. * * * Downgrade to the free version of AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security If you want to cancel your monthly paid subscription for ActiveArmor® advanced, you can downgrade to the free mobile security service. It’s included with all wireless plans and will continue to block spam and more. * * * ## Remove ActiveArmor and your personal data If you pay for ActiveArmor advanced through an app provider, don’t forget to cancel the subscription by following the process for managing subscriptions in your Google account or Apple account. This will help avoid future charges. After your app subscription expires, you also need to remove the ActiveArmor service in the app to remove your personal data used to perform the security functions. To cancel the ActiveArmor service: 1. Go to __Settings__ in the ActiveArmor app. 2. Select __Subscription__ and choose __Remove service__. 3. Then, follow the prompts. Your personal data will be removed within 24 hours of cancellation. Canceling the service doesn’t remove the app from your phone. If you want to remove it, you’ll need to uninstall or delete the app. __Heads up:__ Before you uninstall or delete the app from your phone, check your Call Routing Settings. You won’t be able to change these settings after you delete the app. 1. Open the app, go to the __Calls__ tab, and select __Call Routing Settings__. 2. Confirm your __Spam Call Blocking__ settings are how you want them. Without the app, you can't manage how AT&T handles spam or other unwanted calls, or update numbers in your personal block list. The ActiveArmor app and the service that lets you manage your call routing settings are free for our wireless customers. If you’ve completed these steps and no longer want to use the app, you’ll need to uninstall or delete it from your phone. ## Downgrade from ActiveArmor advanced mobile security You have to downgrade from AT&T ActiveArmor advanced mobile security the same way you signed up for it. For example, if you subscribed from an app provider on your phone, you’ll have to cancel your subscription there too. When you do, your account will close at the end of your current subscription period, and you won’t be charged again. ### Downgrade in the app 1. Open the AT&T ActiveArmor app and go to __Settings__. 2. Select __Subscription__, then __Change Subscription__. 3. Select __Downgrade to Free__. 4. Choose __Confirm__. ### Cancel Android subscription 1. Go to the Google Play store. 2. Select the __profile icon__. 3. Select __Payments & Subscriptions__. 4. Select __Subscriptions__ and look for __AT&T ActiveArmor__. 5. Choose __Cancel subscription__ and follow the prompts. Your personal data used to perform the functions of AT&T ActiveArmor service will be removed within 24 hours of cancellation. __Good to know:__ You’ll still have access to all the free mobile security features to help block spam, protect your device from unauthorized access, and more. ### Cancel Apple subscription 1. Go to __Settings__. 2. Select your __name__ or __Apple ID__. 3. Select __Subscriptions__ and look for __AT&T ActiveArmor__. 4. Choose __Cancel subscription__ and follow the prompts. Your personal data used to perform the functions of AT&T ActiveArmor service will be removed within 24 hours of cancellation. ## Uninstall the app Just __uninstalling the app doesn’t remove the service__ from your account. You must complete all steps to deactivate and remove AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security to stop billing. If you’ve completed the steps to deactivate the service, you can remove or disable the app on your device.
