Keep messages stored in the AT&T cloud
You don’t have to do a thing. We’ll still store your text and picture messages in the cloud for up to 90 days. You may get an AT&T Messages Backup & Sync error on your smartphone about not being able to access the cloud or sync to the cloud. To dismiss this error, select Not now
If you upgrade to a supported smartphone
, messages downloaded from the cloud won’t reflect message read and delete activity from your old phone.
Stop message storage
Don’t want to store your messages in the AT&T cloud anymore? Take one of these actions:
- Sign in to myAT&T and remove AT&T Messages Backup & Sync from your smartphone (option not available for business accounts).
- From the Messaging app on your smartphone, select Settings, then AT&T Messages Backup & Sync, and choose Stop Backup (option not available on all supported smartphones).
