Use Time Limits to set daily internet limits for your child or family member. Set one limit for apps, websites, or categories, or set custom limits for specific apps or categories. You can also set time limits for weekdays and weekends.
Total internet time comes first. For example, if you set a four-hour internet and app limit, access is blocked after your child uses four hours total access across sites or apps.
Your child can see their time limits on their dashboard in the companion app. It displays their total internet time and other limits you set. Your child will get an alert when their time is up. Once they reach their total internet time limit, all internet access ends even if there's time left for an app, website, or category.
You can also set a reward-only time limit. This blocks internet, app, or category access until you add more time as a reward.
Good to know: Time limits only apply to apps, websites, and categories set to Allow in the Filter section. You can’t set limits for unfiltered apps or sites, but their use still counts towards the total internet time limit.
Set Off Time to block internet access during set times, like homework, family time, or bedtime. During Off Time, allowed and unfiltered apps, websites, and categories are blocked on your child’s device. You can turn scheduled times on or off as needed. Apps, websites, and categories set to Always Allow won’t be blocked.
If your child tries to use a website or internet-based app during Off Time, they’ll get a message that the device is on Off Time, the app has no connection, or the website can’t load. Their dashboard shows when Off Time ends. If Off Time hasn’t started, it shows when the next one begins.
FYI: To create a new Off Time, select Add new on the Off Time screen.
Use Bedtime to block internet access at night. When Bedtime is on, allowed and unfiltered apps, websites, and categories are blocked on your child’s device from bedtime to wake-up time. Apps and websites set to Always Allow aren’t blocked.
If your child tries to use a website or internet-based app during Bedtime, they’ll get an alert that the device is on Bedtime, the app has no connection, or the website can’t load. Their dashboard shows when Bedtime starts or ends.
Stop internet access on your child’s device with Block Internet. It blocks allowed and unfiltered apps and websites. If your child’s profile doesn’t have any filters, it blocks all internet-based apps and websites.
You can block internet access for:
If your child tries to open a blocked app or website, they’ll get an alert that the site is blocked, the app doesn’t have a connection, or the website can’t load.
