Check if your AT&T plan or package provides access to HBO Max

Get access to HBO MaxTM at no extra charge with these packages and plans:

If your plan or package doesn’t have access to HBO Max

You can still get it! Do this to add it:
  • Upgrade to a plan or package that includes HBO Max. Sign in to myAT&T, choose your service, and then follow the prompts to change your TV package or your wireless or internet plan. Our best packages and plans include HBO Max.
  • Get an add-on to your TV package. Sign in to myAT&T, choose your TV service, and then follow the prompts to add HBO Max to your TV package.
  • Go to hbomax.com to sign up. HBO Max will bill you for the service directly.

See if you’re eligible for a 30-day trial of HBO Max

If you have wireless or internet service with AT&T and don’t have access to HBO Max as part of your package or plan, you may qualify for a 30-day trial.1 To find out:
  1. Sign in to myAT&T.
  2. Look for HBO Max info to see if you’re eligible for the trial.
  3. Grab your promo code and go to hbomax.com.
  4. Follow the instructions to create an account.
  5. Select ENTER A PROMO CODE to add the info.
  6. Choose REDEEM.
  7. Select START SUBSCRIPTION.

From an Apple iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
  1. Download and open the HBO Max app. Then select the person icon and Sign In. (Don't see Sign In? Try to play a show or movie.)
  2. Select SIGN IN THROUGH TV OR MOBILE PROVIDER.
  3. Do one of the following when asked if you want to allow HBO Max to use your TV provider subscription. If you have:
    • Wireless or internet service with AT&T, tap Don’t Allow. Then tap AT&T, and then tap Continue.
    • TV service with AT&T, tap Allow and follow the prompts. (Or, if you have wireless or internet service, select Other TV Providers, then AT&T.)
  4. Enter the AT&T user ID and password for the service associated with HBO Max. (Forget your AT&T sign-in info? Get help)
  5. Select Sign in.
  6. Create your HBO Max profile if it’s your first time signing in.
  7. Choose the watcher’s profile to start streaming.

From an Android smartphone or a web browser
  1. Open one of the following:

Sign in from a TV or compatible streaming device

  10. Select Sign in.
  11. Create your HBO Max profile if it’s your first time signing in.
  12. Choose the watcher’s profile to start streaming.

From an AT&T TV device or compatible streaming device
  1. Confirm you have a compatible device.
  2. Download and open the HBO Max app. Then select the person icon and Sign In. (Don't see Sign In? Try to play a show or movie.) You should see a 6-digit code on your screen.
  3. Go to hbomax.com/tvsignin from a web browser on your phone or computer.
  4. Enter the 6-digit code when prompted, and then select Next.
  5. Go to the app and choose SIGN IN THROUGH TV OR MOBILE PROVIDER.
  6. Select AT&T.
  7. Enter the AT&T user ID and password for the service associated with HBO Max. (Forget your AT&T sign-in info? Get help)
  8. Select Sign in
