Use NumberSync to share your iPhone's number and keep you connected, even when your phone isn’t nearby. Sync your iPhone to your Apple Watch, iPad, or Mac.
Sync and use your watch
Start using your iPhone’s wireless number on your watch1 in a few steps. (While your watch can only sync to one iPhone at a time, an iPhone can sync to up to three watches.)
In addition to making calls, you can also get notices and listen to your smartphone’s voicemail on the watch.
Want device-specific instructions? Go to Device Support, select your device, and enter NumberSync in the search field. If you’re still having trouble, you can get help with NumberSync issues.
Connect to our network
Apple Watch works in three different modes:
FYI: You can get text messages and iMessages on your watch. For text messages, make sure your iPhone is turned on and connected to our network or Wi-Fi. For iMessages, your phone doesn’t have to be turned on to receive messages on the watch. Just make sure iMessage is enabled.
Note: Turning Wi-Fi Calling off disables it for all devices on your account.
Unsync watch with a wireless plan using your watch
FYI: Unsyncing your watch doesn’t cancel the wireless plan associated with it.
Unsync watch with a wireless plan using att.com
Heads up: Removing NumberSync doesn't cancel your phone plan. It just means your watch won't be able to use our wireless network, and we'll still bill you for monthly service. To cancel your plan, contact us.
Unsync watch to resync to another iPhone
Good to know: Unsyncing your watch from an iPhone returns the watch to its factory state.
Sync your iPad or Mac
NumberSync lets your iPad or Mac make and receive calls using your iPhone number. Have a data plan on your iPad? You can still use it when your phone is off or not with you.
Use your iPad or Mac
To unsync your iPad or Mac and stop calls from going to it:
