This is the best phone ever!!!!!

I got this phone a few weeks ago and I love it!!! It's the best phone att has ever come out with! The battery life is awesome, it lasts me about 3 days of constant texting and talking! My favorite part about this phone is you can custimize your ringback tones! That is so fun. The only downside about the features is the speakerphone! It's not loud enough, the regular tone is just as loud or louder than the speaker phone! Everything else is great, the picture quality is amazing, the video not so much but it's still seeable!
If your not a big fan of fast texting then get this phone, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. If you want fast texting I think you get either the Pantech Matrix or the Pantech Quickfire, which has qwerty keyboards!

Great Looking phone--Poor Usability!

I went through 3 of these phones in a 4-day period... phone would NOT keep a charge for more than 3-4 hrs after being fully-charged!
At first-- I thought phone had a faulty battery, but problem continued to occur w/ the new Samsung a777 phones that I subsequently received after "swapping" my disfunctional phone.
--After (finally) being able to contact a tech worker @ Samsung, I learned that the a777 must NOT charge for more than 5-6 connsecutive hours
because doing so will PERMANENTLY DAMAGE its battery & impair its ability to maintain a charge!!!This means it cannot be charged overnight while sleeping. This cellphone was totally unsuitable for my needs & probably for the needs of most other cellphone users!

This phone is why I love samsung products. This was my first phone when I was 12 years old and upgraded 2 times since then. Both upgrades I had a problem and needed this one. Samsung is a company that builds their phones with pride and massive durability. This phone has seen better days but im telling you ive dropped it many times and the performance is still of when i first bought this phone. the call quality is excellent and also I was just so used to texting on a keypad that its almost easier for me than the qwerty touchscreen keyboard on my current phone the Motorola MB860. This is nowadays what u would call my backup phone but i can still use full time if i needed too. It is extremely well built and for me its absolutely perfect for texting and calling. This is true Samsung quality and represents just how an amazing company they are.

Simple little compact workhorse, takes a beating & keeps right on going. If you need someting to make & receive calls/tests on, this one can't be beat.

Q: can this phone be used without the texting, internet features? We only use our cell phones for calls only. I have my original phone and its falling apart. I'm in desperate in for a new phone but want one of the basic phones; no extras necessary.

- A: Hi Janet....I have had this phone since the summer of 2011 and yes it can be use w/out texting and internet. Although I have texting but no internet, I know for sure that you can get no texting because I have two teenage daughters and they have the same phone and I had texting removed from their lines until they understood money didnt grow on trees :)14 years agoHelpful?
