Connect a Phone to the AT&T Home Base
This article describes how to attach your home phone to the Home Base.
INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
- To place phones throughout your home, you should use a cordless phone system with multiple handsets. A standard corded phone can be used if you just need one phone in your home.
Note: The Home Base does not use your home inside wiring. You should not plug the Home Base or your phone into your home phone wall jacks.
- Unplug the phone you would like to connect to the the Home Base from its wall jack.
- Plug the phone into the Phone 1 port on the back of the Home Base, using your existing phone cable or the provided phone cable.
Note: If using a cordless phone, keep it plugged into an electrical wall outlet. Do not plug the Home Base into a phone wall jack.
- An additional phone or answering machine can be connected to the Phone 2 Port. However, the phone will share the same line and phone number as Phone 1.
